Children Green Keepers
There are Green Keeper (緑の少年団) groups for elementary school children all around the country, but only two groups for small children nation-wide: one at Tenki-Mura, and another in Akita prefecture. As children green keepers, we aim to grow up into persons with big hearts, who appreciate people and our birth places, by taking care and raising trees and forests, protecting and appreciating them. In addition to playing in the forests, we plant trees, go camping, experience carpenting, do cleaning, have fund-raising and other activities to support environmental conservation.
Theme of the activities
(1)Outdoor Play・Learning about nature
Trough nature games, adventure plays, camping, creative playing, outdoor dinner parties etc, we aim to make playing in the nature a natural thing for the children.

By cleaning the forests and cutting weeds, we learn the importance of taking care of our environment.
